Welcome Message from the Associate Director
Greetings! It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the LAU Clinical Simulation Center (LAU–CSC)! The center is designed to offer learners—whether students, faculty, or staff—opportunities to deepen their understanding, enhance their professional development and acquire essential skills related to healthcare practices.Because we believe that science is an art and that excellence is achieved through both technical and non-technical skills, our simulation center has developed a range of classes and workshops that focus on clinical competencies. The center offers materials focusing on communication skills, workplace wellbeing, conflict management and creating Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), thereby providing healthcare practitioners with a comprehensive approach to medicine.
Our Clinical Simulation Center is equipped with a state-of-the-art audiovisual recording system that allows users to monitor and debrief in real time. The system enables both learners and examiners to review simulated practices as they happen, which contributes to enhanced skills development and proficiency.
Whether you are a novice or an expert, our clinical simulation center offers exceptional learning opportunities. With its wide range of task-trainers and high-fidelity mannequins, you can develop technical skills to an expert level. For those interested in more real-life experiences that are both challenging and intriguing, we offer several simulation activities based on Standardized Patient (SP) interactions.
But what is a simulation center without technological advancement? The LAU-CSC is the first and only simulation center that offers Virtual Reality (VR) workshops and activities.
Today, the clinical simulation center is continually growing and expanding, welcoming you all.
