AHA Certification

The LAU Clinical Simulation Center was certified as an American Heart Association-International Training Center (AHA-ITC) for BLS in May 2014. In September 2015, the center also received certification for Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

The AHA certification validates that the center has staff and faculty who have achieved individual certifications as AHA trainers in addition to manikins and equipment needed to offer in-house AHA training programs.

American Heart Association (AHA) Instructors

Instructors for the following AHA certified courses are available at the Clinical Simulation Center:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Instructors

Instructors for the following AAFP certified courses are available at the Clinical Simulation Center:

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO)
