World Heart Day 2019
On September 27, 2019, the LAU Clinical Simulation Center held in a one-day awareness campaign in recognition of the September 29 World Heart Day.
Participants from the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine provided the LAU Byblos community with Hands-Only CPR and invited participants to pledge an oath to become a Heart Hero.
Under the slogan MY HEART, YOUR HEART, participants were asked to do at least one thing for their HEART from a list of items including:
- Knowing their blood pressure
- Stop smoking
- Eating healthy
- Exercise more
